INDUSTRY ASSOCIATIONS
An overview of organizations serving the masonry industry.

Brick Institute of America
The BRICK INSTITUTE of America (BIA) is the national trade association representing the manufacturers of brick in the United States. More than 100 plants, which account for approximately ninety percent of the seven to eight-billion brick produced in the United States each year comprise BIA's membership.

BIA's primary objective is to provide a favorable environment for the development and improvement of markets for the brick industry. For more than fifty years, BIA has pursued this goal through programs of marketing and public relations, engineering and research, government relations, mason education and an award-program. Over the past five years, BIA has developed a series of market-oriented surveys that track brick sales, production, use and other data valuable.
