The SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the World of Concrete/World of Masonry in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mike Boll, with G. Porter Masonry, St. Charles, IL, and current reigning "World’s Best Bricklayer," will return to defend his 2007 National title in 2008 by winning the 2007 SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® Chicago Regional hosted by Package Concrete, Inc., a SPEC MIX licensee for the greater Chicago area.

The first 2007 SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 Regional of the year was held on May 19, at the Elburn, Illinois facility of Package Concrete, Inc., and drew masons from Northern Illinois and Northeastern Indiana. It was a big day for G. Porter Masonry, as Mike Boll and his tender Ken Huizenga laid 724 brick to lead the pack. Joe Vanek and his tender Bob Vanek, also with G. Porter Masonry, won the TOP CRAFTSMAN award with 553 brick laid. The first place winner moves on to the Nationals held in January 2008 at the World of Concrete/World of Masonry in Las Vegas, Nevada.
