Concrete Surfaces & Decorative Pavilion, How-To Zone

The inaugural Concrete Surfaces & Decorative Pavilion at 2011 World of Concrete was such a success, we are bringing it back and making it bigger and better. Located in the Silver Lot outside the Las Vegas Convention Center’s South Hall, attendees will have an opportunity to learn for themselves how to improve their skills and techniques from industry experts. This area will be home to the first Concrete Construction’s How-To Zone, a 1600-square-foot tented area in the pavilion. Activities will include live educational events and Contractor Clinics.

Concrete Polishing Luncheon & Forum

The annual Concrete Polishing Luncheon & Forum returns at noon, Tuesday, Jan. 24. This year, we will discuss how contractors can ensure the polished surface they create meets the owners’ needs. A contractor will talk about the methods he uses to achieve a successful polished concrete project. We also will learn about a systemic approach to matching the owner’s expectations to the contractor’s performance. The event is sponsored by organizers of the International Concrete Polishing & Staining Conference. Register by Dec. 8 for the discounted $60 rate; cost is $90 after Dec. 8 and onsite. Visit the show’s website for updates on speakers.

Concrete Polishing Demonstration Area

The editors of Concrete Surfaces will host a demonstration area displaying everything new and exciting in the growing polished concrete industry. Contractors want to learn more about the process as more building owners and architects specify this surface treatment. Topics will include polishing basics, maintaining a polished concrete surface, how to polish a poor slab, and creating a safe polished floor surface. Sponsors: American Decorative Concrete, Concrete Polishing Association of America, Runyon Surface Prep Rental & Supply, and WerkMaster

The 2012 World of Concrete will mark 10 exciting years for the popular Concrete Construction Artistry in Decorative Concrete Demonstration. Concrete artisans will display their creative concepts and techniques for attendees. Sponsors: Butterfield Color and Elite Crete Systems
