Leader in Outdoor Living and Design Selects Harmonizing Hues of Land and Sea

Belgard®, the leader in outdoor living essentials for the patio and beyond, announces its 2023 Colors of the Year – Tidepool and Seagrass. Tidepool, a deep teal, and Seagrass, a soft sage green, offer a soothing sense of calmness, representing both the land and the sea.

Seagrass and Tidepool intertwine seamlessly with Belgard’s paver palettes. These earthy, mineral-like tones offer the perfect complement to the array of paver textures and colors available to transform an outdoor space.

“This year, we selected two colors to emphasize a sense of calmness and connection to nature,” says Joe Raboine, Director of Residential Hardscapes at Belgard. “Tidepool and Seagrass separately are stunning pops of color to add to any space, but we feel that together these hues balance each other beautifully and create a perfect transition from the indoors to the outdoors. When used in any project, our 2023 Colors of the Year create an inviting and comforting space.”

The connection between this year’s colors and nature aligns with several emerging 2023 design trends, such as:

- Mixing Materials and Texture: Differing textures and materials will continue to trend in 2023 as people further blend their indoor and outdoor spaces with the natural environment. Incorporating pops of Tidepool, Seagrass, or both, with differing textures in a space will further connect the space with nature, offering a sense of calmness and tranquility while creating dimension and interest.

- Utilizing Color to Bring the Outside In, and Vice Versa: Homeowners today crave a more balanced life, and the spaces in homes now must be multi-functional. Outdoor living areas are no longer just for entertaining, but for everyday life. Complementary colors such as Tidepool and Seagrass create a coordinated effect that flows throughout a home.
