Mr. and Mrs. Everett D. Sperry again won the honor of traveling the greatest distance to attend the MCAA convention, flying in from Honolulu for the event. Mr. Sperry is completely recovered from the heart attack suffered last year while returning home from the 10th annual convention in Cincinnati.
Also on hand for the convention was Paul Japp, executive vice president of the Phillip Carey Co., Cincinnati. Mr. Japp has long been a close friend of the MCAA and will be long remembered as genial host and toastmaster for the traditional banquet at the summer board meetings.
The St. Louis chapter was well represented in Philadelphia by a contingent of more than 30, who travelled east for the convention with their president R. J. DeWalle in a reserved car on the Pennsy Railroad. They were met at the depot by a special bus, and on Sunday were guests of Concrete Products Mfg. Co. at a buffet dinner hosted by genial Red Pritchett.
