Cond Management Institute Planned
CHICAGO, ILL, Under the direction of the Association's new Education Committee, a second Management Institute is being planned for members on October 13 and 14 in Chicago. The session will again be under the direction of George Conomikes, Business Forum, and will feature the subject of "Financial Management."
The subject matter to be covered at the meeting: Management Information in Accounting Methods and Systems; Depreciation and Write-Offs of Buildings, Equipment and Tools; Analysis of Your Financial Statements "Cash vs "Accrual" Methods; Financing Your Business Internally, Externally and With Banks; Long Term Contracts, Percentage Completion Payments from the Accounting Point of View.
Conference will be held at the recently completed Sheraton Towers on Chicago's north Michigan Avenue. Fee for the meeting will be $52.50. Those interested should contact their Chapter Office or the MCAA Executive Office.

OMAHA CHAPTER TAKES A RIVER CRUISE
Enjoying the wonderful outing aboard the River Boat "The River Belle" are (1. to r.): Mr. and Mrs. Karl Kehm and Mr. and Mrs. Vearl "Smoke" Hagan. Mr. Kehm is President of the Omaha Chapter while Mr. Hagan is Vice President.
OMAHA, NEBR. Forty-seven members, wives and guests of the Omaha Chapter of the Mason Contractors Association of America chartered the Missouri River excursion boat "The River Belle" and cruised for four hours on the evening of August 29th. A delicious dinner and refreshments were served aboard and music was provided for dancing. The weather was perfect for the outing and a clear sky supplied a beautiful view of the Omaha skyline.
Mr. Raimo stated that "This will provide each member Chapter with an effective membership tool." In addition he urged each member to read the objects and purposes and the code of ethics set forth in the new booklet. Copies may be obtained from the MCAA Executive Office.
Lime Topic of Milwaukee Chapter Sept. Meeting
MILWAUKEE, WIS. At its September meeting held at the Hawley House, members of the Milwaukee Chapter heard Fred Nast, Jr. and Clarence Lagerman of Western Lime and Cement Co. discuss "Lime, Its Manufacture and Uses." This was the first in the series of fall meetings for the group. The program committee reports a schedule of varied and informative programs ready for the coming months.
TENNESSEE CHAPTERS PLAN ANNUAL MEETING
CHATTANOOGA, TENN. Plans are being formulated for the annual State Meeting of MCAA Chapters to be held here on Friday and Saturday, December 8 and 9. This years gathering will be held at the Lakeshore Lodge.
Plan North Central States Apprenticeship Conference
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS-Plans have been formulated in which the Trowel Trades section of the Building Trades will participate in a two day Conference in conjunction with the 2nd biennial North Central States Apprenticeship Meeting to be held at the Conrad Hilton Hotel, October 26-27. Persons from Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin who are thoroughly familiar with the needs and problems involved in the training of apprentices (Continued on page 17 col. 1)
