MCAA CONTINUES ITS STEADY GROWTH

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. VA. Des Moines, Ia.; Lincoln, Nebr., and Yankton, S. Dak. have been added to the rapidly expanding list of MCAA Chapters. With the approval of the Membership Committee and by action of the Executive Board at its August 19th meeting, these three new cities bring MCAA's Chapter membership to 89.

With 27 board members and their families attending, the Greenbrier meeting combined business with pleasure. For the first time a couple, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. DiSabatino, Wilmington, Del., won the major golf prizes. Mr. DiSabatino was awarded the beautiful Glass Block Trophy presented by the Pittsburgh Corning Corp.

Feature of the Saturday Board Meeting was the presentation of the Association's coming year's budget by Frank Zoubek, Finance Committee Chairman, Kenosha, Wis. After studying the expenditures for the past year and the requirements for operation during the next, the Executive Board unanimously approved the budget as presented by the Finance Committee.

After hearing reports from board members two new MCAA committees were established. They are the Educational and Insurance. The following members were appointed: Educational Don Bidwell, Plymouth, Mich.; Reno Fabbri, Highland Park, Ill.; Herman May, Pasadena, Texas; Joseph Szabo, Des Plaines, Ill., and Robert Tubesing. Milwaukee, Wis. Insurance Jack Cook, Miami, Fla.; Fred Daues, St. Louis, Mo.; Ernest Pisacano, Philadelphia, Pa.; James Snyder, Detroit, Mich., and Harry Strauss, Jr., Birmingham, Ala.

The Nominating Committee for the coming year was selected by the Officers and approved by the Executive Board. Members are: Charles C. Danna, Jr., Houston, Tezas; Pat Filippi, Cicero, III.; Henry Nemec, Cleveland, Ohio; E. Lyle Parsley, Portland, Ore., and Anthony Perri, Brooklyn, N. Y. Alternates are: William F. Nelson, ington, D. C. and Fred Danes, St. Louis, Mo.

The new Chapters accepted are:

After completing committee meetings on Friday noon, the members held the annual MCAA Golf Te ment on the Old White Course. Ernie DiSabatino wa winner with Bill Busemeyer, Cincinnati, Ohio, havir low gross of 85. Most durable golfer during the noon's play was Jim Lonie from Dayton. Fred Daue Louis, Mo., did another excellent job in directin tournament.

The Ladies Golf Tournament was held on Sa morning and so as not to be out done by her hu Mrs. DiSabatino went out and won the meet. In the Putting Contest Mrs. Evan L. Harris, Charleston, W was the winner with Mrs. James Lonie, Dayton, Oh runner-up.

Saturday evening the members were guests of the burgh Corning Corp. at a cocktail party, which pre the Annual Executive Board Banquet. Master of cerem for the evening was Robert Rawlins, Glass Block Manager, Pittsburgh Corning Corp.
