Management Institute Considered for MCAA
CHICAGO-A Management Institute tailored to meet the needs of the mason contractor will be inaugurated this summer by the Mason Contractors Association of America, it was announced this week.
The Institute, designed for owners and key personnel, has been tentatively scheduled for July 20-21 here, with enrollment limited to 50.
Subject matter will include cost controls, management, insurance, personnel, finance, taxes and legal problems.
MCAA's executive vice president George A. Miller is currently conducting a letter survey of MCAA members to assist in planning and fitting the program to needs and preferences.
Detailed scheduling will be announced following completion of the survey, Miller said.


Fox Lake Smoker
FOX LAKE, ILL. The Mason Contractors Association of Lake County will revive its traditional annual "Men's Smoker" May 18 at Hank's Supper Club near Waukegan, III.
Lee Nordstrom is chairman of the entertainment committee planning the event.


Moran Construction New Member of Milwaukee MCA
MILWAUKEE, WIS. The Moran Construction Co., represented by Al Schultz, is the newest member of the Milwaukee MCA chapter.
In other recent activity, the local chapter heard two representatives of the Manitowoc Cement Co., who discussed cement manufacture.
M. Zanchetti, chairman of the group's Historical Committee, has prepared an addition to the yearbook highlighting MCA activities during 1960.
