COMPLETES PLANS FOR MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE
CHICAGO, ILL. It has just been announced that the second in a series of Management Institutes will be held in Chicago during late April. Subject matter will be "Financial Management-The Key To A Successful Business." Sessions will again be scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
Booklet On Protective Construction Published By Allied Masonry Council
CHICAGO, ILL. The Allied Masonry Council has just released for distribution a new, authoritative booklet "Protective Construction for School and Community Shelters." The booklet has been designed specifically for school board members and administrators along with business and civic leaders. A special four-page insert in the new book shows a variety of brick and tile walls which will give needed protection in school buildings either as underground shelters, safety cores or whole structure shelters. This insert can serve as a separate brochure for architects and engineers. The book has been designed as a companion piece for AMC's school book, "A Few Hard Facts."
Copies of the new book are being sent to each MCAA Chapter office. Books are 60c each, $50 per 100 and $475 per 1,000. Chapters are urged to use this valuable community service material.
St. Louis Chapter Holds President's Banquet

LOUIS, MO-The Mason Contractors Association of St. Louis held its annual Installation of Officers and President's Banquet at the Chase-Plaza Hotel on Saturday evening, January 13th. New officers for the Chapter are: Richard J. DeWalle, President; Harry J. Buckley, Vice President; Willard Shy, Secretary; Edward Hermeyer, Treasurer. Committees for the ensuing year are: Lester Templemeyer, Robert Eickmeyer, Jr., Lawrence O'Brien, Thomas Skinner and August Finder. Arbitration Board members are: Richard DeWalle, Fred Daues, Willard Shy, T. Walter Kirk, Donald Grant, and Lester Dietrich.
Over 400 persons attended the annual event which was under the direction of Lester Dietrich.
Installing Mr. DeWalle as President of the St Louis Chapter is T. Walter Kirk, left. Mr. DeWalle is entering his second term of office for the association.
MILWAUKEE CHAPTER ELECTS OFFICERS
MILWAUKEE, WIS. The Mason Contractors Association of Milwaukee have elected Don Stevens president for the coming year. Other officers elected are: Phil Emley, 1st vice president; Ed Bjorklund, 2nd vice president; John C. Rohatsch, secretary; and Clarence Bundy, treasurer. Directors elected are E. O. Samp and Gene Wocher.
Nemec Re-elected President Of Cleveland Association
CLEVELAND, OHIO-The Mason Contractors Association of Cleveland held their annual meeting and election of officers and re-elected Henry R. Nemec president. Other officers are Stanley West, vice president; Thomas Snavely, secretary; and Fred Klefman, treasurer.
Arbitration Committee: All members of the Arbitration Committee were re-elected: H. R. Nemee, Chairman; W. S. West, R. G. Harley, Steve Teresi, and Thomas Snavely.
Bricklayer Joint Apprentice Committee: Leo W. Schmidt, Joseph Brosta, and Hugh Farmer, who was recently elected Chairman of the Committee for the ensuing year.
Rig Martini, Fred Denk, and Ernest Schmidt were re-elected as the Employee Trustees of the Health and Welfare and Pension Funds.
