Addresses 67th & PIU Convention

Texans Study Operating Methods During 4th Annual State Meeting
The 4th Annual State Meeting of the MCAA Chapters in Texas was held August 30 through September 1, and provided the attending delegates with factual information concerning their daily operating procedures and with information concerning the industry nationwide.
Under the direction of State Vice President Dee Brown, the opening session on Friday presented to the delegates a highly factual and practical business session on financial planning. On Saturday the members heard from Erle Cabelle, Mayor of Dallas, Claude Prewitt, T. C. Crist and Robert Carpenter, all of whom presented a highly interesting message. BRI CONFERENCE NOV. 27-29
The Building Research Institute will hold its Fall Conference Nov. 27-29 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. The Nov. 29th conference will analyze current masonry problems, setting the stage for a series of meetings which will later treat unsolved problems in greater detail and report on-going research.

oper Marks Quarter Century ervice To Masonry Industry

MCAA member Ernest L. Schmidt of Cleveland, Ohio, has been named Vice-Chairman of the Northern Ohio Safety Conference and Exhibit. Walter W. Underwood, Director of NCMA, received the Chartered Association Executive Award of the America Society of Association Executives recently.
Mal Allen was re-elected to his seventh two-year term as Secretary of ASTM Committee of Structural Clay Products Institute. George L. Ramsey resigned as Chicago's Commissioners of Buildings. "Commissioner Ramsey has been one of the most outstanding buildings commissioners," said the city's Mayor Richard J. Daley.
