Left: Precast concrete units permit architects to blend strength with unusual and beautiful design. The Engineering Building, University of Miami was designed by Wahl Snyder & Associates, H. J. Ross & Associates, structural engineers, M. R. Horrison Construction Corp., contractor; Dunan Brick Yards, Inc., producer of special units, and Cook and Pruitt Masonry, Inc., MCAA Members, Masonry Specialists.

Brick is fashioned into a beautifully-textured shadow wall of changing variety in this temple in Freeport, L. I., designed by architect Percival Goodman. The shadow effect, accomplished by protruding headers of brick, is accentuated by the occasional placement of a brick of contrasting color.

This beautiful section of the St. Mary R. C. Church, Cecil, Pa. designed by Architect Alex Sansosti and constructed by Member Donald Harris, Inc. The church uses a good degree of masonry to highlight its effective and attractive design.
