The Jim Synders, Don Bidwells and George Arconti gave the ping pong table a good work out and all the matches were very even. The Henry Knotts travelled the grounds of the Grand Hotel on a tandem bicycle while Fred Daues, Les Dietrich, Bob Ebeling, Ed Heimbrock, in between fog banks, made good use of the beautiful golf course.
Kwik-Mix Co., Port Washington, Wis., a division of Koehring Co., has moved all office departments, and the offices of president and general manager H. S. Jeske, into expanded office space at 369 Western Ave., Port Washington, Wis. John D. Gray, president and chairman of the board of Omark Industries has announced the following appointments. Edward P. Skralskis has been named executive vice president for all of the corporation's world-wide operations and will direct the activities of the corporate management team. Guy E. Sabin has been promoted to general manager of Omark's domestic operations. He will direct all phases of the firms marketing and finance in the U. S., and will serve as a corporate vice president. Robert W. Cutler, FAIA, has been named president of the Building Research Institute. Ward Broady, Jr., Walter Edward Jr., Robert Campbell and William Trant have announced the merger into a new corporation to be known as Broady, Edwards, Campbell & Trant, Inc. The new corporation will operate under the trade name of "BEC.
Rieckman Engineering Co., Inc. of St. Paul, Minn. recently announced the appointment of Robert L. Rieckman as their district representative for the upper Midwest. In his new position he will be responsible for further expansion of Lull dealer sales organization in his territory.
SCPI Honors Plummer
Harry C. Plummer, director of engineering and technology for the Structural Clay Products Institute since 1937, has been appointed to the newly created post of Dean of Engineering and Technology. This new role will permit Plummer to divorce himself from administration tasks and concentrate on expert development of new engineering literature for the guidance of the nation's design professionals. Plummer is the author of a number of technical publications dealing with structural clay masonry, including the definitive handbook, "Brick and Tile Engineering." He is also co-author of "Reinforced Brick Masonry-Lateral Force Design."
