Establish Headquarters

The National Conference of Health, Welfare & Pension Plans will establish a permanent office with full-time staff on January 1, 1964, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This decision was reached following a discussion of the Long Range Planning Committee recommendations presented to the Board of Directors at the mid-year meeting.

The establishment of this office will make possible the coordination and consolidation of all administrative and management functions which have previously been handled through the offices of the individual Conference officers. This will permit a more economical and efficient handling of details inherent in the management of the many Conference activities and will also make possible the development of a broadened scope of activities.
