Summer Executive Board Meeting

(Continued from Page 7)

In the demonstration area, member teams mixed, handled, and laid brick with Hi-Bond Mortar. Interest in the team competition was great, and the judges reported a seven-way tie. However, special merit should go to the teams captained by Frank Laureys and Clarence Bundy. After a short cooling off period, members returned to the classroom where Corb Garton presented "Field Evaluation of Hi-Bond". Closing out the school course was Mal Allen who discussed "Future Uses of Hi-Bond".

Immediately following the close of the "Hi-Bond Mortar School", President Lonie called the members of the Executive Board into a Special Session. Action taken at this meeting, and at the Summer Meeting, are discussed in another section of MASONRY and in Chapter Bulletin No. 9, dated August 5, 1963.

Peer Pedersen, MCAA Legal Counsel, on Thursday morning reviewed various national laws and legislation, and then discussed with the members questions which they presented.

Friday morning MCAA Committees met. During Friday afternoon the MCAA Annual Golf Tournament was held at the Hillmore Country Club, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. This year the golfers braved a strong wind and swamp-like conditions to complete the tournament, but all who started reported back safe and sound. Winner of the tournament was Les Dietrich, MCAA Vice President, St. Louis. Winner of the Ladies Tournament was Mrs. William Nelson, Washington, D. C.

Promptly at 9:30 Saturday morning President James Lonie called the Summer Meeting to order.
