Summer Executive Board Meeting

Presentation made by Finance Committee Chairman DiSabatino on the Association's Budget for the coming year. The budget, as presented by Mr. DiSabatino, was approved by the Board.

Apprentice Committee Chairman Herschel Hunt outlined the status of this field and commented briefly on the National Contest held in St. Louis. In addition, Courses and related training were covered. In the field of Material Handling, Co-Chairman Herman May presented the report on the many activities of his Committee, indicating that many fine programs were under way.

The Education Committee announced that a Management Institute was being planned for October and it would cover the subject of "Taxes and Tax Planning". Efforts in this field on other subjects were discussed, with the committee currently analyzing other methods of presenting the material to the membership.

T. Walter Kirk, Chairman of the Constitution & By-Laws Committee recommended to the Board a completely new arrangement for Regional Vice Presidents. This was approved by the Executive Board and will be submitted to the membership at the Annual Meeting in February.

Other committee reports heard were: Accident Prevention, Peter S. Baier; A.I.A., Rodney Antonsen; Awards, Anthony Perri; Convention, Harold Peterson; Joint, Clarence Bundy; Jurisdictional, William Nelson; Legal Advisor, Donald Bidwell: Liaison, Stephen Raimo; Publications, Frank Laureys; and Research, Robert Tubesing.

Other action taken by the Board was the approval of the Nominating Committee as presented by the Officers.

Following the completion of the Board Meeting the members were guest of the Pittsburgh Corning Corporation at a cocktail party in the Tour de Bois room of the hotel, where various golf trophies and prizes were awarded.
