MEET IN
ST. LOUIS
Officers attending the May 17th meeting were (1. to r.): Frank Zoubek, Treasurer, Herman May, Vice President-Midwest, Donald Bidwell, Secretary, James Lonie, and Jack Cook, Vice President-East. Also in attendance was Vice President Lester Dietrich.
President Lonie, left, presents to Hershel Hunt an Honor Roll Certificate of the U.S. Department of Labor for his untiring efforts in behalf of Apprenticeship and Training. Mr. Hunt is MCAA's Apprentice Committee Chairman and a member of the National Bricklayer Apprentice Committee.
ST. LOUIS, MO. The officers of the MCAA met here on Friday, May 17th, to review the activities of the association during the past month. In attendance were President James Lonie, Dayton, Ohio: Vice President Lester Dietrich, St. Louis; Regional Vice President Herman May, Houston, Texas, and Jack Cook, Miami, Fla. Secretary Donald Bidwell, Detroit and Treasurer Frank Zoubek, Kenosha, Wis. Mr. Zoubek presented the financial report for the first six months of fiscal year and a budget comparison. The officers analyzed the MCAA Jurisdictional File and made plans to develop additional material of this nature. Several committee reports were available and these were heard and commented upon.
On Friday afternoon MCAA Legal Affairs Committee meet with Legal Counsel Peer Pedersen to discuss various legislative matters and to develop a concerted program for the association.
During the afternoon, Chairman Bidwell of the Legal Affairs Committee held a meeting with Legal Counsel Peer Pedersen summarizing various legislative items and offering suggested programs for the association. Following the adjournment of the meeting, the officers and committee members were guests of the St. Louis Chapter at a reception held at their building.
