(Continued from page 3) nite annual Banquet and Dinner Dance it was a meeting that was alive with action every minute of the time.

Our thanks to the Goldblatt Tool Co. for again providing a beautiful trowel for President Lonie to cut the ribbon opening the '64 Show. Security patrol reported that over 800 people entered the Show during the first hour with total attendance the first nite approximately 1,100.

Each exhibitor deserves a special vote of thanks for the excellent displays at this years show. We can not here name each one, but we would like to thank all of them for their efforts in making this the biggest and best that the MCAA has ever sponsored. The fine personnel in each booth also merit a special thanks. Everyone who visited the Show knows that the Masonry Industry is one that is aggresive, progressive and one which will continue to pace the entire Construction Industry.

Every meeting, both general or Board meeting, at the '64 convention started within a five minute period of the published time. Even the Executive Board Meeting on Wednesday morning following the Banquet got off to a prompt start. A real tribute to MCAA members.

Devoted MCAA members continue to travel great distances to attend the annual meetings. Vice President a Mrs. R. L. Johnston, Tacoma, Washington, E. Lyle Parsely and Mom Smallen, Portland, Oregon, certainly earned all honors again this year. P Rosensteel, Phoenix, and Jack Com are runner-ups.

The Canadian delegation this year was exceptionally large. Under the leadership of Leonard Eden this has grown constantly each year. And we tip our hats to Canada for having the largest single company attendance at the Convention. To George & Assen, Kitchener, Ontario, goes the honors for having 18 people registered at the Chicago gathering. Now who can top that?

Large delegations from many cities were on hand. Detroit, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Northern Indiana all were among the leaders. A wonderful turnout from each of these fine Chapters.

The Host Chapter, Associated Masonry Contractors of Metropolitan Chicago, did a fantastic job in the hospitality room. Under the direction of Fred Beyer and Frank Laureys they had plenty of food, music and refreshments... and above all wonderful good fellowship. Pat Filippi is one of the most excellent hosts we have ever had the privilege to meet. His gentle manner and friendly greetings make one feel that Chicago is truly the friendly city of the nation.

Past Presidents Stephen Raimo, E Daues and John Taheny pitched in to make events go smoother. A special thanks to Pete Baier who again was invaluable in assisting with the deals in conjunction with the MCAA SHOW.

Lou Breese out did himself with the wonderful entertainment and music at the annual banquet. Ginny Tiu and family topped it all off, but the Lee Sutton Dancers and George Carl did a real fine job of getting the show off to a flying start. Lou Breese, his band and orchestra are tops!

The Ladies Program this year was one that was varied, not too demanding, enjoyable and above all relaxing. Anchor Mfg. Co. again were hosts to the ladies for Coffee Hours and on Monday morning a special breakfast. Sulie Harand presented a condensed version of "Sound of Music" on Monday. Tuesday morning many ladies took advantage of the opportunity to hear Dr. Winters, and went back to their headquarters to hear John Nagle, Harris, Kerr, Rester & Co., discuss office procedure Legal Counsel Peer Pedersen
