KOEHRING UNIT CHANGES NAME

The name of the Kwik-Mix Division of Koehring Company has been changed to the PCM Division, Koehring Company in an announcement by H. P. Mueller, Jr., Division President and General Manager.

The division's new identification represents the three major industries in which its products are used: processing; construction equipment; and material handling.

In announcing the change, Mr. Mueller explained that the new name more accurately describes the activities of the division. He said, "The company name "Kwik-Mix" previously had carried the connotation that our activity was primarily in the mixing equipment business. We have moved into entirely new industries, in addition to retaining our position of leadership in the old ones. We wish to have every part of our business keep pace with this new growth, and that includes the name of the division."

The PCM Division will use the name "Kwik-Mix" as a product trademark on portable concrete, plaster and bituminous mixers. Other products designed, manufactured and marketed by PCM include KA-MO horizontal and vertical earth boring equipment; CYCLO-MIXER pan-type compulsory mixers for construction and industrial processing applications; and MOTO-BUG motorized fork-lift, flat deck and bulk handling units.

The Kwik-Mix Concrete Mixer Company, whose name was later changed to the Kwik-Mix Company, was chartered as an independent corporation in Milwaukee in 1923. It became a wholly owned subsidiary of Kochring Company in 1938, and a division of Koehring in 1956.

PCM Division general offices and factory are located in Port Washington, Wisconsin.
