People & Events

John A. Stelle, Chairman of the Board, Arketex Ceramic Corporation, Brazil, Indiana, has announced that Charles S. Erwin has been named Vice President Sales for the firm. Mr. Erwin has been associated with clay products firms for many years both in the mid-west and west in a sales capacity. Vaughan H. Tower has recently joined the Pittsburgh Corning Corp. as field representative with offices in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Portland Cement Association has announced the appointment of Robert H. Lochow as district engineer for the state of Michigan, and G. Martin as assistant director for urban renewal, a new position. (Continued on page 12)
