General Counsel, National Labor Relations Board, Washington, D.C., discuss 10 k, 10 1 and 8B4d sections which relate to the construction industry. In addition the members saw a preview of the Allied Masonry Council's new film "Earth & Fire".
At the Hershey Country Club on Friday afternoon the Annual MCAA Golf Tournament was held. After 18 holes Don Bidwell and Bob Harrison ended up tied. On a nine-hole play-off Don Bidwell won the Glass Block Trophy. Low gross score for the 18 holes went to Les Dietrich who shot a beautiful 85. Most durable golfer was Bob Ebeling. The Ladies Golf Tournament was won by Mrs. E. J. DiSabatino from Wilmington, Del.
Closing out the Meeting was a Cocktail Party and Banquet held Saturday evening. Sponsoring the Cocktail Hour was the Pittsburgh Corning Corp.

The Hershey, Pa. Board Meeting was one of the most productive ever held by the MCAA. The speeches by Legal Counsel Peer Pedersen and NLRB Assistant General Counsel Elihu Platt were excellent. The business session, although five straight hours long, was guided smoothly by President Les Dietrich... Celebrating his birthday at Hershey was E. J. DiSabatino, Wilmington, Del. Stephen Raimo recently injured his back and although not in top shape to play golf he was at all the meetings and on time. Everyone missed Claire and Bill Nelson and want to extend their greeting to them. Topping off a wonderful golf tournament was the play-off between Don Bidwell and Bob Harrison. Here two of them, Harold Peterson and Bob Ebeling, discuss how they can confuse their respective golfers. The Ladies Tournament was interesting too. Lining up at the starting line, left to right, Peggy DiSabatino, Bille Bidwell, Evelyn Lonie, Betty Miller, Bob Rawlins, Assistant Starter, Mary Snyder, Florence Ebeling, and James Lonie, Official Starter... Les Dietrich again shot the lowest score in the men's tournament at the Hershey Country Club course.. Many families were present at the meeting. The Stevens and Tubesings from Milwaukee, the DeWalle's and Hunts from St. Louis and Indianapolis, the Sibbalds from Hartford and many more. Tom Hartley's son who is stationed nearby was able to join his father for the banquet on Saturday. The next Board Meeting will be held at the Flamingo Hotel, Las Vegas, Nov. 5-7.
Tennessee held their state meeting in Gatlinburg in the heart of the Smokies. Charles Olgiati, State Chairman, presided over the opening session with David Soloff handling the Saturday session. Mason Painter and Frank Butte gave the invocations. Allied Masonry Council new film "Earth & Fire" was shown on Saturday... On Saturday nite Les Dietrich and George Miller were made Hillbillies along with the necessary items to properly attire and refresh them. Left is Charles Olgiatti and far right is Dave Soloff..
