Kaufman & Associates in the annual competition conducted by the National Advertising Agency Network. The Kaufman firm handles the Allied Masonry Council.

In ceremonies held on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange June 30th, Koehring Co. stock was traded on the Exchange for the first time, under the symbol KOE. NRLB Counsel To Address Board

Mr. Elihu Platt, Assistant General Counsel, National Labor Relations Board, Washington, D. C., will be the featured speaker at the MCAA Executive Board Meeting on Saturday, July 25th, Hotel Hershey, Hershey, Pa.

On Thursday MCAA members will hear Legal Counsel Peer Pedersen discuss "Contracts" and the various facets of this important subject. In addition, "Welding-Its Importance To The Mason Contractor" will be presented by Al Oros, Hobart Brothers.

Honor E. R. Murphy

Edward R. Murphy, managing director of the Vermiculite Institute of Chicago, was the recipient of the ASTM Award of Merit at the annual meeting of the American Society for Testing and Materials held at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago on June 24. The award was in recognition of distinguished service to the Society, T. Α. Marshall, Jr., ASTM executive secretary, stated. It was one of 20 made this year.

Murphy has served on ASTM committees for about 30 years. He is currently a member of Committees C-11 (Gypsum), E-5 (Standard Fire Tests), and E-6 (Methods of Testing Building Constructions).

Following Committee meetings on Friday morning, members will participate in the Annual MCAA Golf Tournament which will be under the direction of Fred Daues and George Arconti.

The Board will convene at 9 o'clock on Saturday and remain in session until all business matters have been completed.

At 6:30 Cocktails will be served with the Annual Board Meeting Banquet following.
