Executive Board Meets

The Masonry Industry's Committee met on Thursday afternoon, and pictured here, reviewing the programs, are Chairman Mike Coco, seated. Standing left to right are Richard Branham, NCMA, Wm. A second project, undertaken by the committee, was the assembling of a "Directory of Training Material in the Masonry Industry." First compiled by William Roark, SCPI, this material was then taken and assembled by the MCAA. It was reported that over 2,600 of these Directories had been mailed out and a new order was now being placed to take care of the overwhelming demand for this new educational piece. A new project being considered is a public relations program to inform the people of the vast amount of work that is being done to provide the Industry with competent manpower.

Chairman Jim Snyder, MCAA Research Committee, provided the members with a stimulating program when Tom Sirrine, Michigan Concrete Products Association, discussed with this Committee Control Joints and Wall Reinforcement. As a result of this meeting. Mr. Snyder has indicated that his Committee will investigate both of these subjects to a greater extent and report courses of action to the Board when it meets in November.

On the report it was voted to present the change to the Annual Meeting in February.

Highlight of the meeting was the Insurance Committee Report. Insurance Consultants, Fred S. James & Co., at the direction of Charles Danna, had prepared material on (continued on page 22)
