Plan Conference On All-Weather

Work & Masonry Material Handling

It has been announced that the MCAA will sponsor a Joint Conference to cover the important topics of "All-Weather Construction" and "New Trends In Masonry Material Handling". In charge of the meeting will be James Snyder, Research Committee Chairman and Herman L. May, Material Handling Committee Chairman. May and Snyder indicated that formative plans call for the meeting to be held in the Chicago vicinity during the later part of September with a facility being selected that will offer ample room for actual demonstrations.

Chairman Snyder has announced that moderator for his session will be Corb Garton, Regional Director, SCPI, while Herman May will be assisted by Harold W. Peterson and Reno Fabbri.

Purpose of the Conference is two-fold. The morning "All-Weather Construction" session will investigate ways and means which Mason Contractors can work at greater lengths under adverse weather conditions-both hot and cold. The Material Handling session will review the latest developments and present a discussion on maintenance of equipment currently being used by mason contractors.

In addition it will be of great interest to architects and engineers.
