The 1965 Milwaukee Apprentice Contest was held at the Home Show with the Mason Contractors and Local No. 8 building and attractive work area for the competition. Our Cove Base used upside down to receive plaster. Our BUC gives cove lighting in walls of SPECTRA GLAZE. Our Double G unit has been used for 3-D lobby walls. Faces stay stuck on our 2-face units in low-cost mop course.

Looking over the Display at the Milwaukee Home Show are Mrs. Germinaro and LeRoy Ballman. This area was used for the Apprentice Contest and served as an effective masonry display. Winner of the Contest was Kurt Giera who along with other winners was presented his award at the April 27 Meeting of the Local Union.


Win Litigation
A clear-cut victory has been awarded Omark Industries, Inc. in the eight-year litigation involving patent infringement by the McCulloch Motors Corp., it was announced by John D Gray. Omark president.

Judge Pierson M. Hall of the U. S District Court in Los Angeles handed down the decision recognizing the validity of Omark's patent on chipper saw chain and expressed the opinion he could only conclude that "the infringement by McCulloch was willful."


National Roster
An up-to-the-minute national roster of approved applicators of vermiculite insulating concrete roof decks is available from Vermiculite Institute, 208 South La Salle St., Chicago 4, III. These applicators assume responsibility for delivering a deck of high quality by contracting with Institute members to prepare and apply vermiculite concrete in strict accordance with Institute specifications. The architect or owner receives a certificate that this was done, signed by the applicator and the Institute member when the deck is finished. Each applicator is certified annually.
