Canada. Others who enjoyed this sport were Mr. and Mrs. Pete Germinaro with most of the teenagers joining them.
Head Wrangler Fred Daues did another outstanding job handling the Annual Golf Tournament. Played on the Dogwood Hills Course many think the course had gone to the dogs, too it was a real test of stamina and sweat. Starting out with a record 28 in the men's division and four in the ladies, it included the following: Dwight Lewis, Cleary Gleason, Donald Frantz, Bob Harrison, Paul Rosensteel, Chas. Danna, Bob Tubesing. Fred Daues, T. Walter Kirk, Allen Young, Mike Coco, Chuck Bolek, Joe Szabo, Lloyd Jollay, Mickey Soloff. Bob Eickmeier, Bob Ebeling. Pete Germinaro, Harry Strauss, Bernard Strauss, John Swindal, Roy Elam, Dave Sloss, Les Dietrich, Glen Dietrich, John Yoxen, Don Bidwell, and Art Houtteman. Ladies playing were Mrs. Harry Strauss, Mrs. Mickey Soloff, Mrs. Donald Frantz, and Mrs. O. L. Jollay.
In the younger set Bowling Tournament there was excellent competition. Winner was Dave Jollay with 152 pins. Others participating were: Beth Soloff. Kathy Danna, Dick Tubesing, Karen Tubesing. Tom Jollay, Donna Tubesing, Anne Jollay, Joe Szabo and Susan and Karen Miller. Our thanks to Karen Tubesing who did a fine job of organizing and running this event. The ladies, too, took to the bowling lanes and we hear the pins were really flying. Competing were Betty Szabo, Louise Young. Dorothy Tubesing and Betty Miller. Winner was Louise Young from Memphis.
Several members will agree that boating was not necessarily the high point of the meeting. Les Dietrich, Glenn Dietrich, Bog Tubesing, Donald Frantz and Allen Young got about five miles from the Tan-Tar-A dock when the drive shaft let go on Les boat. The story of the rescue is too long for this article but rowing can be a real rough task.

John Yoxen's mother from Detroit was in attendance and everyone enjoyed her sparkling wit. John flew his plane to Jefferson City and picked her up and her comment about the Osage Beach airport is wonderful. John said she looked out at the runway and said "Son, that doesn't even look like a good road".
While on the subject of flying, MCAA now has its own Air Force. Flying in were: Mr. & Mrs. Guy Apple, Phoenix; Mr. & Mrs. Donald Bidwell, Detroit; Mr. & Mrs. Eugene George, Kitchner, Canada; and Mr. & Mrs. John Yoxen. On the runway and ready to join forces are Mr. & Mrs. Harold Peterson, Chicago.
Never was there a more excited young lady than Anne Jollay at the Board Banquet when her father received the Glass Block Golf Trophy. Her enthusiam, applause and smile made this a bigger event for all.
Tan-Tar-A was not the easiest place to get to and then with the airline strike it all but about made things impossible. President Perri and
