1967 MCAA Convention Report

St. Louis, Mo. The 1967 MCAA Convention is now history but it will long be remembered as one of the biggest and finest of the Association. From the MCAA Show on through the Banquet and Dinner Dance, each of the various activities was well attended and showed that MCAA members are interested in fundamental issues of today and are keeping pace with the great changes taking place within the construction industry.

Standing in for Anthony Perri, MCAA President, who became ill just before the Convention, was Donald Bidwell, Detroit, Vice President. Mr. Bidwell did an outstanding job in conducting the affairs of the organization and in making sure that each of the events progressed as planned.

At the Annual Meeting held Tuesday afternoon, Anthony Perri, Brooklyn, N.Y., was re-elected President with Donald Bidwell, Detroit, re-elected Vice President. Robert Harrison, Chicago, was re-elected Treasurer, with O. L. Jollay, Atlanta, Ga., elected Secretary.

Regional Vice Presidents are: David Sibbald, Hartford, Conn.; Harry Strauss, Jr., Birmingham, Ala.; Frank Laureys, Barrington, III.; W. W. Bartlett, Houston, Texas; Guy Apple, Phoenix, Ariz.; Montie Smallen, Portland, Ore.; and Eugene George, Kitchner, Ontario, Canada.
