Speaker at the September meeting of the Mason Contractors Association of DuPage County (III.) was Walter T. Derk, MCAA's Insurance Consultant. Peter Kynell of Orange, Calif., has been appointed as West Coast representative of Dur-O-waL, manufacturers of masonry wall reinforcement and allied products. John F. Schwartz has been named Controller of Skil Corp., Chicago-based power tool manufacturer.

Allistair Dunn has been appointed assistant Vice President in the Construction Equipment Group of Kochring Company, according to Group Vice President-Operations R. E. Burton Frederic B. Powers, Jr., has been named Vice President-Sales of the Rawplug Co., Inc., Word H. Payne is running on the Albuquerque Citizens Committee ticket for that city's City Commission.

There's only a slight difference between keeping your chin up and sticking your neck out, but it's worth knowing.

Making speedy recoveries from recent illness are two Chicagoland Mason Contractors. Ed Linari suffered a mild heart attack while in Topeka, Kansas, during August. Late reports show that he has already played 9-holes of golf and is itching to get back to work. Fred Beyer has undergone a series of tests for an illness that kept him in the hospital almost a week. Fred is now back at work but is still under doctor's care.

Today when you see a father and son having a man-to-man talk, the one with the beard is the son.

National Cement News
South Dixie Supply, of Perrysburg, Ohio, distributor of face brick, recently purchased by National Cement Products Company, of Toledo, has been fully integrated into the latter's operation and now is a separate division of National Cement.

This announcement was made by Cloyd B. Fellabaum, recently advanced from president to chairman of the board, and Robert M. Fellabaum, formerly vice president, who has been elected president and chief executive officer.

Other officers are: Warren R. Fellabaum, vice president and treasurer and John R. Fellabaum, vice president and assistant secretary.
