Boston, Charles Velardo, MCAA members came to pay tribute to an outstanding labor and Industry leader. From each and every member our sincerest congratulations!

If your April issue of masonry was delayed it was the result of the trucking industry tie-up. We urge you, if you are not doing it already, to use the ZIP CODES. It will help us in our mailings and will speed your mail delivery. So you get up early, well in Phoenix you'll miss half the day if you don't. With the change to Daylight Savings Time on May 1 and a change in the collective bargaining agreement, Bricklayers will start one hour earlier (7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.). The Detroit Mason Contractors Association held their Fifth Annual Spring Frolic on the 24th of May at the Piemantese Club.

Making a speedy recovery is David Sibbald, MCAA's Regional Vice President. Earlier this year Dave fell and broke his leg and sustained serious arm bruises. Billie Bidwell is making a rapid recovery from recent surgery. Willis W. Fisher has been named vice president, sales for Koehring Div., Koehring Co., Milwaukee, Wis.
