SKIL Corporation, Chicago based power tool manufacturer, opened its new Louisville Service Center recently by hosting a "Ribbon Cutting" ceremony at their 315 E. Bloom Street location. The new Factory Branch which will service SKIL's Consumer, Industrial and Automotive line tools is their 52nd such facility now operating in the U.S.
SKIL Distributors from the Louisville area attended the Grand Opening together with Don Evans, Service Center Manager, and other SKIL officials. Don said, "Modern testing equipment, free tool testing, fast service, genuine factory parts and guaranteed service are all extras that the SKIL Factory Service Center has to offer Louisville customers."
More fatal accidents occur on Saturdays (21.6 percent) than on any other day. Sunday takes "second honors" (18.3 percent).

Passenger cars were involved in nearly 80 percent of all fatal accidents and almost 90 percent of all non-fatal accidents. Commercial vehicles, driven many more miles per year than passenger cars, were involved proportionately in twice as many fatal accidents as non-fatal accidents. Motorcycles, which constitute less than two percent of all registered vehicles, were involved in more than two percent of all highway facilities last year.
