Stanley J. Mrugal has been named manager, advertising services, Zonolite Div., W. R. Grace & Co., Chicago.
Bruce J. Conte has joined PCM Div. of Koehring Co., Port Washington, Wis., as product specialist for concrete pumps, according to H. P. Mueller, Jr., Div. President.
April 20th is the date for the Spring Kickoff Party of the Concrete & Masonry Contractors Association of Minneapolis at the Radisson Hotel. MCA of Milwaukee will hold on the 19th of April a "Contemporary Bearing Wall" Seminar. Torben K. Andersen is returning to Portland, Maine, as Vice President of Mecaw Industries and General Manager of Maine Cement Products Co.
In recognition of the many years of service to the masonry industry, Montie Smallen, MCAA Region F. Vice President, was presented with the Mounted Gold Trowel shown, symbolic of his craft. Many of the tools of the masonry industry are mounted on the trowel including a wheel barrow shown pouring mortar. Items included everything from "happy hour" ingredients to aspirin. This was one of the features given to Montie at the January meeting of the Oregon State Convention held in Eugene, Oregon. E. D. Davis, State Chairman Region F. was also presented with a trowel at this meeting.

CHICAGO GROUPS CONSOLIDATE
The two Mason Contractors Associations which have been functioning in recent years as the Mason Contractors Association of Cook County, and the Associated Mason Contractors of Metropolitan Chicago, have consolidated their forces into one organization. The newly chartered Association will operate under the name of the Mason Contractors Association of Greater Chicago.
Selected to serve as the Officers of the newly consolidated group are: Edwin McGuire, Ceisel & McGuire Inc., President; Joe Martino, Martino & Schuessler, Vice President; Frank Kosik. Panel Window Company, Treasurer; and Don Larsen, Thorlief Larsen & Son, Secretary.
Serving as Directors are: Edward Duff, J & E Duff Inc.; Don Dymond, Dymond & Anderson; Robert Harrison, G & R Masonry; Robert Henriksen, C.O. Henriksen Co.; Larry Maraviglia, L. Maraviglia & Sons; Ron McLaren, Southfield Builders; Elwood Michel, Michel Masonry; Joe Szabo, J.F. Szabo Co.; and Sam Vinci, Nick Vinci & Sons.
The Association office will be located at 228 North LaSalle Street, Chicago, Illinois, telephone CE 6-9742.
The first activity of this Association will be the holding of the Annual Smoker on Thursday, April 25th, at Halleran's, 103rd and Cicero, in Oak Lawn. At this time the Officers and Directors will be introduced to the industry.
Green Book Available
The industry's most recent compilation of nationally-averaged rental rates for construction equipment is now available from Associated Equipment Distributors.
The 19th Edition, 1968 AED Compilation of Nationally-Averaged Rental Rates and Model Reference Data- popularly called the "Green Book"-is based on the results of a nation-wide survey taken last September among AED's U. S. distributor members. The new 120-page edition presents the averaged rental rates on more than 2,000 types of equipment ranging from portable electric tools to tractors and earth-moving equipment. Contractors Association has moved to new quarters at 1515 North Harlem Avenue, Oak Park, III. 60303. Trans/expo '68-the largest outdoor exposition of trucks, trailers and related commercial highway equipment -has scheduled it June 13th opening for the 30 acre parking lot adjacent to Soldiers Field in Chicago.
