Canadian Forecast
During 1968, Canada's structural clay products industry looks for an eight percent increase in dollar value of sales, and a five percent increase in physical volume of production.

This forecast comes from Ε.Υ. Carlson, of Streetsville, president of the Canadian Structural Clay Association. He believes that the increase in volume will be most marked in Ontario, where it may be in the order of from eight to 10 percent. He says that the past year has been a busy one, so much so that the inventories of many companies are at a record low. Steps are being taken to remedy these deficiencies and to put the industry in a position to meet the increased demand.

Mr. Carlson expects construction volume to increase marginally in Quebec in 1968 The Atlantic region may have a percentage increase in building comparable to that of Ontario, he says. The Prairies and British Columbia will continue to experience steady growth, as in recent years, and this will be reflected in rising sales of structural clay products.
