Elect Veazey President

G. W. Veazey has been elected
President of the Associated Masonry
Contractors of Houston, Texas. Other
officers elected are Turner Smith, Vice
President and James Hoggatt, Secre-
tary-Treasurer. Program Chairman for
the year is Bill Acord.


Plan Conference

The Mason Contractors Association
of Colorado has announced that it will
sponsor a Colorado Mason Contrac-
tors Industry Conference on Saturday,
April 6, 1968. Walt Rothermel, Presi-
dent of the Colorado Chapter, states
that exciting new programs to assist
the Mason Contractor will be featured.

Graham J. Morgan, President of
United States Gypsum Company,
Chicago, Illinois, and William S. Lowe,
President of A. P. Green Refractories
Co., Mexico, Missouri, reported to-
day that in accordance with action
taken previously by the Board of Di-
rectors and stockholders of both com-
panies, the merger of the two com-
panies has become effective as of the
close of business on December 29,
1967.

United States Gypsum Company
will be the parent corporation, and the
business of Green (now a Missouri
corporation) will be continued as a
newly organized subsidiary of Gyp-
sum, to be known as A. P. Green
Refractories Co. (a Delaware corpor-
ation).
