AED to Hold Convention

Some 4,000 distributor and manufacturer executives are expected to attend the 50th Annual Meeting of Associated Equipment Distributors, international association serving the $3.5 billion construction equipment industry, at Chicago's Conrad Hilton Hotel from January 19 to 22, 1969.

AED's Convention Committee, headed by Donald Tucker, President of Power Equipment Company, Knoxville, Tennessee, has planned a theme of "Progress, Purpose, and Promise" for the largest annual event tailored to construction equipment executives. Participants will recognize the Association's half-century of contribution to the industry and, more significantly, take a look ahead at 1969 and the years following to examine the future of the industry, the nation, and business in general.

Koehring Wins Damage Suit

A $135,000 damage suit filed against Koehring Company in the U. S. District Court, Great Falls, Mont. has been decided in favor of Koehring Company. The suit, brought by Robert Crosson, alleged that Koehring failed to provide safeguards in a Lorain crane he was operating, causing the folding gantry to fall on him. The jury ruled that Crosson had failed to use reasonable care for his own safety and held that the company was not at fault.
