Appointment of masonry industry official Ryan M. O'Brien as Vice Chairman of the Building Industry Committee for the proposed David M. Wilson Memorial Laboratory at the University of Southern California School of Engineering, was recently announced by Sheldon L. Pollack, Committee Chairman. O'Brien, Executive Vice President of the California Conference of Masonry Contractor Associations, will serve as the masonry industry's representative on the Committee W. Burr Bennett, Jr.

has been appointed Executive Director of the Prestressed Concrete Institute. Bennett is former Director of the Engineering Design and Standards Department, Portland Cement Association. He succeeds the late Robert J. Lyman Alden Werley has been named controller of Huron Cement, a division of National Gypsum Company.
