Rubber Face Trowel
A revolutionary new trowel with a flexible rubber face, introduced by American Olean Tile Company, is highly recommended for use with ceramic tile, slate, flagstone, marble and brick. The Groutmaster saves up to fifty percent in labor costs, and up to twenty-five percent in material costs on the average installation. One model of it has a solid rubber facing and is used most effectively with ceramic mosaics, quarry tile, slate, flagstone, marble and brick. The other model has a layer of sponge rubber under the rubber facing, which makes it particularly suitable for grouting cushion-edg and textured low relief dimensional tile. Both trowels compress the grout into the joint and the flexible facing gives a squeegee cleaning effect, conforms to uneven surfaces, and cleans faster and more completely. The trowel has an easy-grip handle and is made for use with all grouts, including epoxy grouts. Manufactured exclusively by American Olean, it is available through the company or other tile distributors. Pat. Pend. Write: American Olean Tile Company, Lansdale, Pennsylvania 19446.
Double Well Tower
The new NASA Electronics Laboratory in Cambridge, Mass., goes up with the help of a Patent Scaffolding Co. 221-ft. double well "Gold Medal" Material Tower. The well at left is used for hoisting materials while the one at right, equipped with a basket and PSCo.'s new internal hopper, is used for hoisting concrete. Patent Scaffolding also supplied flying shoring units for pouring the spandrel beam and 74 "Gold Medal" suspended scaffolding machines, each 5 ft. wide for Mason Contractor Anastasi Bros. Corp. The general contractor was Aberthaw Construction Co.
Rough Terrain Forklift
Designed and priced to offer buyers an alternative to tractor-conversion type fork lifts, is the new Champ Model 530-TS. In contrast to the tractor conversion units, the new Champ was designed and built from the start as a rough terrain fork lift.
As a result, the 530-TS offers a far superior combination of speed, maneuverability and power for efficient heavy duty fork lift work. It also incorporates Champ's proven ruggedness and low maintenance. Capacity is rated at 5,000 Ibs. maximum, and 3500 lbs. at 21 feet yet Champ's "free lift" mast will take a full load through a low 10 opening. Included are important Champ-pioneered features safe highway speed towability, "levelizer" steer axle for maximum traction on rough terrain, large, low-pressure drive tires for high flotation. Extra power is developed by a 109 H.P., six-cylinder Chrysler engine with Chrysler fluid drive for reliable performance. Engineering and construction throughout is rugged, heavy-duty Champ quality. Cost is quoted at under $10,000.

Marbon Technical Report
Four-page technical report reviewing a newly devolped paint formulation for waterproofing below-grade masonry walls has just been released by Marbon Division, Borg-Warner Corporation, Washington, W. Va. 26181.
Prepared expressly for paint manufacturers, the bulletin (C-113) cites eight important advantages provided by a waterproofing paint based on Marbon 1100T resin which conforms to Federal Specification TT-P-001411. Literature also presents a suggested formulation meeting this requirement and results of a hydrostatic test on painted concrete block. Tables list properties of the finished paint and the resin portion of the vehicle.
Copies of this technical report are available on request to the manufacturer.
