Hodgson Names Moskow To Bargaining Post
The appointment of Michael H. Moskow as executive director of the Construction Industry Collective Bargaining Commission has been announced by Labor Secretary J. D. Hodgson.
Moskow, 32, a native of Patterson, N. J., succeeds James L. Macpherson, who is returning to his post as regional director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in Cleveland. Moskow, senior staff economist with the Council of Economic Advisers since August, 1969, assumes his new duties immediately.
President Nixon established the commission through executive order in September, 1969, to develop voluntary procedures for meeting manpower, collective bargaining and other problems in the industry. Secretary Hodgson is chairman of the commission, which is composed equally of members representing the public, the construction industry and building trades unions.
While with the C.E.A., Moskow spent considerable time concentrating on construction industry problems and performed staff duties with the Cabinet Committee on Construction headed by C.E.A. Chairman Paul W. McCracken.
