Collier has been named Advertising Manager for the Architectural & Engineering Products Div, of the Johns-Manville Corp.
Bushell Elected
Member companies at the 29th annual Vermiculite Institute meeting in New Orleans February 17, 1970, elected Norman F. Bushell, Grant Industries, Limited, a division of the Eddy Match Company, Limited, Vancouver, B.C., president for a one-year term beginning April 1. Elected to three-year terms as directors were A. D. Webster, F. Hyde & Co., Ltd., Montreal, outgoing president of the Vermiculite Institute, and T. W. Pickthall, W. R. Grace & Co., Newark, Calif. William Hallinan of Bishop, Ericson & Flynn was named secretary-treasurer of the trade association.
The meeting centered around developments in the use of vermiculite in fireproofing, insulation, roof deck construction, and agriculture. J. S. Titus, chairman of the insulation committee, reported that Federal Specification HH-I-585B was finalized with the Federal Supply Service of the General Services Administration, covering both untreated and water-repellent vermiculite. It was noted that for the eleventh consecutive year since its introduction, the use of vermiculite masonry fill insulation has increased.
