The vinyl-coated nylon fabric structures, reinforced by stress relief cables, are each made in five sections which can be connected in various configurations to 15 different lengths between 118 and 490 feet. As each building is completed, the cabled Airshelter can be moved and installed on another building site.


Western Masonry Design Recognition

Ronald J. Carissimi (left), vice president of the architectural firm of Barovetto, Carissimi & Rohrer, Sacramento, Calif.. receives the "Masonry Design Recognition" parchment from Thomas D. Field, manager of the Masonry Institute of Northern California. The award was recently presented to Carissimi's organization for "outstanding architectural design and use of unit masonry" in the construction of Woodland High School. It was the first such award in a planned recognition program by the Masonry Institute and the Masonry Institute Joint Industry Board of Sacramento to members of the Central Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
