At Annual Meeting

Gerald Burde of Port Huron was reelected chairman of the Michigan Mason Contractors Association at the group's annual meeting held recently at Shanty Creek Lodge in Bellaire.

Others elected were: vice chairman, John Hazewinkel of Grand Rapids, and secretary-treasurer, John Heslip. Masonry Institute of Michigan.

At the business meeting, members heard an explanation of the new Workmen's Compensation insurance program worked out by the national association. The accompanying pictures are of the non-business portion of the weekend.

These mason contractors were smiling at the time, but that was before they played the tough Shanty Creek golf course. Heilner Addresses NECМА

David P. Heilner, New England regional director for the U.S. Small Business Administration, addressed the November luncheon meeting of the New England Concrete Masonry Association in the Yankee Drummer Inn, Auburn, Mass., November 7.

He described the function of the SBA and how it can help individual business performance.
