Meet Your '73 MCAA Officers and Executive Committee

AED Conducts Program
A nationwide program designed to strengthen the existing lines of communication within the construction equipment industry and open new ones was launched by the Associated Equipment Distributors, the 1,500 member international association of the construction equipment industry, at its March meeting in Oak Brook, Ill.
The program, called "Member Days," offered nearly 1,200 distributor executives the chance to meet face-to-face with the officers, directors and staff of the association for the purpose of discussing present and future business concerns. Among the many topics being discussed were: how to upgrade relationships with contractors; how to anticipate the future needs of customers; building the image of the construction equipment industry, and government controls on business.
Justin Gives Dividend
Justin Industries, Fort Worth, Texas, has declared a quarterly cash dividend of 5¢ per share on common stock payable April 9, 1973 to shareholders of record March 26, 1973. John S. Justin, Jr., president and chairman, told shareholders at the annual meeting that 1972 had been a record year for the building materials firm as earnings increased 65% to $3,617,000 and sales rose 17% to $63,053,000.
Profits of Building Product Manufacturers Rises to Record Level
Record volume, improved productivity and higher prices brought the nation's building products manufacturers a banner year in 1972.
As the pace of construction activity soared to a new high, makers of products and materials used in construction posted 1972 profits and sales gains of 36% and 16%, respectively, it was reported by F. W. Dodge Division of McGraw-Hill Information Systems Co.
