Estimating Seminar

The estimating seminar was led by Robert Harrison, Mt. Prospect, III., MCAA Education Committee chairman, and Louis J. Helbert, Jr., Fort Collins, Colo., Education Committee member. Interest in the seminar was typified by the wide-ranging geographical area represented by those in attendance. Finish New Headquarters For Department of Labor

The new Department of Labor headquarters were dedicated in October in ceremonies featuring President Gerald Ford as principal speaker. President Ford described the building as not only "a fine example of superior architecture that now is the watchword of the federal government but a symbol representing the working spirit of the American people."

The $95 million, buff-colored limestone structure on Constitution Ave. at 2nd St. stands on air rights spanning Interstate Highway 95.
