Walter F. Derk, MCAA Insurance Consultant with Fred S. James Co. of Chicago, gave an in-depth presentation of the insurance programs currently available to MCAA members with suggested proposals for additional coverage and benefits.
At 1:30 on Friday afternoon, members teed off for the Annual Executive Board Golf Tournament on the challenging course at Dunfey's. Winning golfer was MCAA Past-President David B. "Mickey" Soloff, Jr. of Chattanooga, Tenn. Regional Vice President Anthony Zotollo of New York City carded the best low gross score. The golfers as well as other members were then treated to a relaxing cocktail hour sponsored by the Massachusetts MCA in its hospitality suite.
On Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, MCAA President Charles Velardo called the Executive Board into session to consider business reports from Officers, Regional Vice Presidents and Committee Chairmen. The financial report, as presented by Treasurer Robert Harrison, Mount Prospect, III., as well as the Finance Committee budget report by Douglas Hughes, Crestwood, Ky., were unanimously approved.
During the Board meeting President Velardo took the occasion to present two awards-one to William Dentinger (Continued on page 34)
