Tuesday started out as a normal San Diego day-raining. Then things seemed to get a little more complicated. The outdoor demonstration was set aside by the MCAA Safety Committee when conditions in the outdoor area became critical.
At this point another major development occured which necessitated a holding pattern for the activities. Because of the flooding conditions that had built up a power station in the valley experienced difficulties which threw out all the power in the area. This problem was finally overcome and the Annual Meeting scheduled for 1:30 P.M. in the California Room, Convention Center, was called to order by President Velardo.
Honorary Member T. Walter Kirk, St. Louis, Missouri, lead the members in prayer, and the Chair requested a roll call. Then the Officers, Regional Vice Presidents and Committee Chairmen presented their reports to the Membership. David Soloff, Jr., Chairman of the Constitution & By-Laws Committee presented certain modifications in the document and they were unanimously approved by the body.
In the election of Association Officers the following were elected: Robert Ebeling, President, Eugene George, Vice President, Louis Helbert, Jr., Secretary and Robert Harrison, Treasurer.
