Engineers Elect Turner
J.C. Turner has been elected General President of the International Union of Operating Engineers succeeding Hunter P. Wharton. Turner has served the past three years as Secretary-Treasurer of the IUOE.

The general executive board made other changes. Frank Hanley and Dale Marr were elected as general vice presidents. The terms of all new officers run until the IUOE Convention in April 1976, when they will all stand for re-election.


Honor Peter Baier
Peter S. Baier, Honorary Member of the Mason Contractors Association of Indiana and MCAA was honored by the Construction Advancement Foundation of Northwest Indiana on November 7th and presented with CAF's Award of Distinction. Mr. Baier has retired from the masonry business in Hobart, Indiana, and now resides in Florida. Mr. Baier served MCAA in various capacities and was President of the local Chapter. In addition he served as trustee on many of the industry funds.

The Masonry Institute of Maryland has outgrown its present facilities. In order to provide better service and more convenient access to the design community, MIM is relocating at 2313 St. Paul St., Baltimore, Md. 21218.
