Hold Masonry Seminars
A series of three masonry seminars were held in the Metropolitan Chicago area on October 19, 20 & 21. Featured speakers were Thomas B. Redmond, NCMA: Alan H. Yorkdale, BIA; and Buck Richardson, IMI. Sponsored by the Chicago Masonry Council the meetings were designed to cover the design aspects of masonry and to demonstrate how the many benefits of masonry walls systems can be utilized.
Otterson Resigns At BIA

At the 17th General Convention of the Laborers International Union of North America held at the Fontainebleau Hotel, Miami Beach, Florida, Angelo Fosco was unanimously elected President of the assembled delegates. W. Vernie Reed was elected General Secretary-Treasurer. Vice Presidents elected are: Robert E. Powell, Ledger Diamond, Wilbur Freitag, Michael Lorello, Arthur Coia, Ugo Rossini, Mason Warren, and R. P. Vinall.
Addressing the assembled delegates on Thursday morning was MCAA Executive Vice President, George A. Miller and Thomas F. Murphy, President of Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen International Union.
