Mrs. Bobbie Smiley has been promoted to the position of Company Controller by Athens Brick Co. Edward R. Stainback, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Building Products Division, Flintkote Co., has been elected President of the Gypsum Association. Morris W. Reid, Chairman of the Board, J. I. Case Co., was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from Carthage College, Kenosha, Wis. Edward D. Ozybko has been appointed group vice president, marketing, for the Portland Cement Association.


DMCA Appoints Wyatt

The appointment of James C. Wyatt to Executive Director of the Detroit Mason Contractors Association has been announced by the Association President Stanley Gierlaszynski. He replaces John A. Heslip who will continue serving as Executive Director of the Masonry Institute of Michigan. Wyatt, who formerly held executive positions with the Currier Lumber Company and Detroit Lumberman's Association brings thirty years of management experience in the construction industry to the Association.

In making the announcement, Gierlaszynski stated that this appointment has been made to meet the ever increasing needs of the Association in the areas of labor relations and management development for Mason Contractors in southeastern Michigan.
