Top Industry Awards for the Dayton, Ohio area have been presented to Architects Eugene W. Betz, Inc. and to the Engineering firm of Richard Shell & Associates for the addition to the Miami Valley Hospital. The Award of Excellence in Workmanship for the hospital addition goes to Pence & Denney Masonry, Inc.

The Excellence Awards were made by the Mason Contractors Association of Dayton and the Masonry Institute of Dayton at their recent year end banquet at the Imperial House South.

Comments by the Selection Committee: The Architect has maintained a continuance of color and a simplicity in the choice of material, blending the different additions to the Miami Valley Hospital into a contemporary and functional facility. The Architectural designs are innovative and modern and have challenged the ability of the master mason, testing his skills to the fullest. The aesthetics of the (Continued on page 28)
