Midnight Rider Is No Paul Revere
Revere is best remembered for his midnight ride to warn the Massachusetts countryside that the British soldiers were on the way.
Less well-known is the recent midnight excursion on horseback by a man in Planada, California. Astride his faithful horse. Danny, this rider was attempting to travel down a public highway.
Unlike his famous Revolutionary counterpart, however, the Californian was easily captured by men in uniform. But this time it wasn't the Redcoats. It was state police officers who arrested the rider for drunken driving. Danny it seems, was standing erect, but his master was about to fall out of the saddle.
