"Early Birds" Register for MCAA Masonry Conference; Dentinger No. 1

At 10:19 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 1977, the mailman made his usual stop at the MCAA Executive Office to drop off the morning mail. Almost simultaneously. another mailman this one carrying a Special Delivery envelope also stopped in.

Naturally, the Special Delivery envelope was opened first. In it, there was something historic. It was the first advance registration for MCAA's 28th Annual International Masonry Conference & Educational Trade Show scheduled for Las Vegas, March 11-16.

And the No. 1 "Early Birds" were Mr. & Mrs. W. C. "Bill" Dentinger, Jr. of Brookfield, Wis.

The stack of mail, which was opened only minutes later. also carried two other advance registrations:

No. 1½, Mr. & Mrs. Don Johnson, Villa Park, III., and No. 1716, Mr. & Mrs. Dee Brown, Dallas, Texas.

Actually, these very-first registrants came in virtually tied for first place. Some distinction had to be made, but all should be proud of their interest and enthusiasm for MCAA!

In the days immediately following, these other "Early Bird" registrations also were received:

Mr. & Mrs. Don Leonard and Mr. & Mrs. Jeffrey Leonard, St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. & Mrs. L. C. Pardue, Jr., Portland, Ore.

Mr. Blaine Warner, Glendale, Ariz.

Mr. & Mrs. R. G. Benschoter, Portland, Ore.

Mr. & Mrs. Jerry W. Brailsford, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mr. & Mrs. Manford Bakke, Lindstrom, Minn.

Mr. & Mrs. Donald C. Ward. Waterloo, la.

Mr. & Mrs. Dick Nauman. Mr. & Mrs. Dave Nauman and Mr. & Mrs. Mark Nauman, all of Metamora, III.

Why not follow their move and register now? It will be to your financial advantage because you'll save 10 bucks! Not to mention any last-minute hang-ups with hotel or travel arrangements. There is a handy Advance Registration Form in this issue. Use it today while you're thinking about it!

The list of registrants for the Conference has grown considerably since the "Early Birds" came in. Do your part to make attendance at the Conference the highest in MCAA history. See you in Las Vegas!
