About Our Cover
This 360,000 sq. ft. administrative headquarters of the Automobile Club of Michigan was the Masonry Institute of Michigan's recent winner of the "M Award for Excellence In Masonry Design. Located in the Fairlane area of Dearborn, the building features five perimeter towers utilizing reinforced masonry. The end walls are constructed of fractured, ribbed concrete masonry units. Architect for the project was Giffels Associates, Inc., Detroit, with masonry by Rohn Fireproofing Co., Oak Park, Mich.

As the official publication of the Mason Contractors Association of America and the Canadian Masonry Contractors Association, Masonry publishes authoritative articles and timely news concerning activities of the MCAA and CMCA.
